Dave East “Above Water”

Dave East is trying to keep his head “Above Water” on his latest release produced by Westtopher.

Utilizing a sample of “Eusebio” by Magenta Keys, the Harlem rapper

“I’m just trying to keep my head above water / A lot of niggas drowning / Trying to get this bread for my daughter, raps East. “I just hope the witness doesn’t say they saw us / ‘Cause they gon’ have to find me / I just want to run the family like Paulie”

The track was released through Tracklib’s sample clearance platform, a library and legal clearance process that enables artists and producers to access “pre-cleared samples that can be customized to fit any project, providing creative freedom without copyright issues.”

“Above Water” comes on the heels of East’s “Thiccer Than Water” featuring Uncle Murda.
