Tyler, The Creator has his coke and a smile by scoring Coca-Cola’s new commercial for their “Open that Coca-Cola” campaign.
In the two-minute spot, a diverse group of people dance to the Grammy-winning musician’s music after popping a bottle and taking a sip including kids at a local store, a pair of video gamers, and a couple being pampered at home. Elsewhere, a family rocks at the dinner table, a sports watcher gets down on the roof, and an outdoor choir rejoices with the drink.
“I provided Coca-Cola with all the sounds for this”, a joyful Tyler tweeted on Sunday (Feb. 21). He complimented his work, “Drums are fucking hard the low end is shaking. That’s me playing the flute at the beginning”, and thanked the brand for the opportunity, “Mannnn thanks coca cola for reallll. Big love for the opportunity. I was like ehh idk but then I fucking ran with it. Commercials need sounds like this, thanksssss”.
