Video: Ab-Soul “Gotta Rap”

Ab-Soul gives his DJ Premier-produced track “Gotta Rap” its proper video treatment.

Directed by Cordell Jomha, the black-and-white clip finds the Carson, CA rapper weighing on life’s struggles, success and everything else in between while making his rounds throughout his hometown.

“Shit, I’m already a legend if I ever leave / So you can’t get rid of me,” he raps while perched on a building. “My lyrics will live in memory / Destination is destiny / Every record’s a felony, the long term legacy,” he continues from cruising the block to rolling dice with the homies.

“Gotta Rap” is just one of the many standouts of from the TDE artist’s latest album, Herbert featuring Jhene Aiko, Zacari, SiR, Luke Skiiiwalker, Fre$h, and more.
