Blxst and Roddy Ricch do not forget where they come from in their new video, “Passionate”.
Directed by Blu and Mayowa, the two West Coasters pay homage to the rags to riches upbringing from a plush estate in the Hollywood Hills.
“And I put that on my mama, I ain’t gon’ raise a bastard son,” recalls Roddy. “He ain’t gon’ have to pick up sticks, hе ain’t gon’ have the drum,” he continues, while Blxst salutes the grind. “Yeah, and I done put my heart and soul in it / Got it out the mud, I promise it’s a cold feeling,” he sings.
“Passionate” is off Blxst’s recent Just For Clarity 2 EP, which also features contributions from Larry June, Mustard, and Terrace Martin.
