Earlier today, the totally not an Aaron Stainthorpe side-project “death pop” band High Parasite released a new single titled “Drag Me Under”. As they currently tour the U.K. and Ireland, the band’s bassist Tombs said this new track was originally slated for release in their debut album, 2024’s Forever We Burn.
“We all loved this song when we recorded it for our first album, but it was a little different to the other tracks, with more of a Rammstein kind of vibe. So we decided to hold it back… until this moment. We’ve already started recording our second studio album, we’re looking to the future, so now ‘Drag Me Under’ makes perfect sense, a glimpse into what’s to come.”
As you may have caught in that quote, the band’s currently working on their second album, so there’s a good shot this track will be on it when it finally arrives.
If you’d like to catch High Parasite live, you’re gonna need to do so at any of the dates listed below. Just remember, they’re currently across the pond.
