Dijon Unveils New Album Baby: Stream

R&B polymath Dijon has returned with Baby, his sophomore album and the follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 debutAbsolutely.

Dijon began teasing a new solo album with just a website counting down to Thursday, August 14th at midnight, suggesting a New Music Friday drop was imminent. There were no singles prior to the announcement; Dijon offered the standalone single “Coogie” in 2023, but it doesn’t appear on the album. Baby features Dijon’s signature raspy vocals, intimate production style, and unique R&B sound reminiscent of Prince and Frank Ocean. Stream Dijon’s new album Baby below.

While not offering much solo music since Absolutely, Dijon has kept busy, mostly working behind the scenes as a writer and producer. He notably produced and co-wrote several songs on Justin Bieber’s surprise-released albumSwag, including its hit single “Daisies” as well as “Devotion,” which he appears as a guest vocalist on.

Dijon appeared this year on Bon Iver’s new album SABLE, fABLE, guesting on the song “Day One” alongside Flock of Dimes. He also lent production to regular collaborator Mk.gee’s 2024 debut Two Star & the Dream Police, and in 2023, toured with boygenius, Clairo, and Bartees Strange for the inaugural Re:SET concert series.
