Much like the road to hell, an artist falling from the stage during a performance is often paved with good intentions. Such was the case for country star Post Malone, who took a major tumble during a recent Arizona performance on his “The BIG ASS Stadium Tour”while attempting to toast a well-meaning fan.
Malone was singing the Blake Shelton collab “Pour Me a Drink” from his most recent album, F-1 Trillion, when he spied a fan down front at the State Farm Stadium hoisting their drink in his direction. In his typically affable fashion, the singer was more than happy to approach the well-wisher and toast them with his beverage in a red Solo cup.
Just as the singer got to the edge of the stage to toast the fan, the apparatus that he stepped on gave way, sending him down to the concrete floor below.
The moment was captured on TikTok, seemingly by the fan hoping to toast Malone, with the caption, “I am SO sorry Austin. I love you! Such an amazing show… I didn’t mean to almost break your back.” Watch it below.

Despite the tumble, he was able to quickly recover and finish the show.
The TikTok clip also highlights the fact that Malone was obviously lip-syncing the song, as the vocals continued uninterrupted as he tipped over from the stage. While utilizing recorded secondary vocals is fairly routine for such a large-scale show, this kind of onstage mishap only exacerbates the situation.
It’s not the first time Malone has suffered a mid-show fall; back in 2022, he required medical attention after tripping across an uncovered equipment hole during a concert in St. Louis. After a 15-minute delay, he was able to finish that performance as well.
While Malone’s North American tour concluded this week, he’s set to pick things up over in Europe later on this fall, with Jelly Roll in tow. See the itinerary below, and get tickets here.
