News of Nicks’ shoulder injury follows her making headlines last month, after it was hinted that her andLindsey Buckingham‘s album ‘Buckingham Nicks’ is set to be reissued this year for the first time in over five decades.

Rumours of a reunion have been swirling sinceMick Fleetwoodand Buckingham werepictured working on new music together in the studio. Then, Nicks and Buckingham began teasing a project just days ago, where theyshared a pair of cryptic posts on social media.

Nicks posted a photo of some hand-written lyrics:“And if you go forward…”, which Buckingham finished on his account:“I’ll meet you there”.The lyrics are taken from their 1973 song ‘Frozen Love’ from their collaborative album ‘Buckingham Nicks’ – the song Mick Fleetwood reportedly heard that convinced him to ask the then-couple to join Fleetwood Mac.

Now, a billboard on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles has displayed the album cover with its title and the date, September 19. If this is indeed a reissue, it would be the first time it has been remastered or digitally re-released since the record landed in 1973.

It would also be the first time Nicks and Buckingham will reunite since Buckingham wasfired from Fleetwood Mac in 2018.The pair originally dated between 1972 and 1976 and would remain bandmates for over 40 years, though it was ultimately theiracrimonious relationship that would lead to Buckingham’s departure.
