It’s Not Like That Exclusive Sneak Peek: David Inspires Flora

It’s Not Like That Exclusive Sneak Peek: David Inspires Flora

There are some really sweet dynamics flourishing on It’s Not Like That.

One of them is the endearing connection between Flora and David, the latter of whom seems to have taken Flora under his wing a bit, in a way that both of them probably needed.

We scored an exclusive sneak peek of tomorrow’s all-new episode, and we’d love to share it with you!

If you’ve been following along with our It’s Not Like That coverage, then you know that Flora has been finding herself again after her mother’s death.

She’s broadened her horizons, emotionally and physically put herself back in social environments, and she’s been trying to navigate being a teenager again.

And yes, she’s still dealing with grief, but she’s been coming into her own.

One of the areas where she’s started to thrive is via her writing and music. Through writing courses, she’s been able to put pen to paper and write songs to express thoughts she’s had trouble sharing otherwise.

And she’s also turned to music — playing the piano and singing.

Flora’s voice is gorgeous, and through her budding relationship with Merritt, she’s previously found some solace and inspiration.

Unfortunately, things took a turn during It’s Not Like That Season 1 Episode 6. Merritt is struggling on his own with his drinking, and he isn’t telling anyone about it.

But he also took it to heart when his father told him to be mindful of Flora’s heart and not to break it.

Unfortunately, Merritt’s attempt to do that led to him hurting Flora anyway.

It’s a sad situation all around, but amid all of this, it does seem like Flora has another adult who is attuned to her needs and trying to look after her a bit: David.

In our sneak peek, it appears as though Flora is about to take her singing to the next stage.

There’s a school gala she’s attending, and now she’ll be performing for the first time in front of her peers in public.

From the clip, we can see that she’s nervous about the whole ordeal and terrified she’ll forget the words or say something else embarrassing.

Fortunately, David is there to reassure her. He’s great at this role, in part because he’s in the entertainment business and is accustomed to walking his clients through similar scenarios.

But there’s also that extra paternal touch he brings to the table as he encourages her.

It’s undeniably sweet, and a great moment worth watching.

The end of the clip also reveals some of Merritt, and it’s enough to leave us pondering what’s on his mind based on what he’s scrolling through on his phone.

The synopsis teases that Flora’s song goes viral and could cause tension with Merritt.

But why? We have some theories, but first, you should check out this clip!
