Nicki Minaj’s father has died in a hit-and-run accident over the weekend.
The Associated Press reports Robert Maraj was walking along a road in Mineola, Long Island at 6:15 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 12) when he was struck by vehicle which fled the scene. The Nassau County Police homicide unit is investigating with hopes for more leads and information.
64-year-old Maraj was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, but unfortunately passed away on Saturday morning (Feb. 13). Robert Maraj’s sister Suzie confirmed the tragic news on Facebook.
Nicki Minaj and her father has dealt with a complicated relationship over the years, but the father and daughter have since reconciled. Our condolences go out to Nicki and her family.
