Nick Cannon Reveals His Top 5 Diss Tracks

Who has the best diss track of all time?

During an episode of “Nick Cannon Radio,” the Power 106 host revealed his top 5 diss tracks, starting with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “F**k wit Dre Day (And Everybody’s Celebratin’)” aimed at Eazy-E, Tim Dog, and Luther “Luke” Campbell from 2 Live Crew.

“They came at Eazy’s neck, they came at Luke’s neck, Tim Dog,” said Nick. “They was getting at everybody.”

Coming in at No. 4 was Ice Cube’s “No Vaseline,” on which the N.W.A frontman fired shots at his former bandmates and their manager, Jerry Heller.

That was followed by JAY-Z’s “Takeover,” his scathing diss toward Nas and Prodigy of Mobb Deep. “He got at Mobb Deep and Nas on one record—and it was produced by Kanye West,” said Nick.

Drake’s Meek Mill diss “Back to Back” scored second place on Nick’s list. “Probably the only diss song to get nominated for a Grammy and is a club banger. Salute to Drake,” he said.

But the top honors were reserved for Tupac Shakur’s Notorious B.I.G. diss “Hit ‘Em Up,” which fueled the East Coast–West Coast hip-hop rivalry. “It’s probably the biggest hip-hop beef ever and one of the best rappers to ever do it, and it was just so disrespectful,” said Nick. “He started it off with, ‘That’s why I fu**ed your bitch.’”

However, Nick wishes it would have ended differently. “I wish these brothers could have came back together ’cause they were truly friends. That’s what hurts all of our hearts, when we lose our greats to senseless violence.”

Nick is known for his own series of diss tracks aimed at his longtime rival Eminem, one of which he joked was worthy of inclusion in his top 5.
