Queen Naija Feels ‘Missunderstood…Still’ on Her New Deluxe Album

Queen Naija is giving her fans a more in-depth look into her life with the deluxe reissue of her debut album Missunderstood

The new version includes all 18 songs from the standard edition released nearly six months ago, along with six new songs and the previously released “Butterflies Pt.2 (Remix)” featuring Wale.

Among the new songs is the J.I. Prince of N.Y.-assisted track “Love Is…,” which further details themes of domestic trauma and abuse and self-esteem issues she once suffered in a previous relationship. The song also samples Eve’s 1999 classic “Love Is Blind.”

Her self-worth continues to take a tremendous toll on “Insecure” while she remains uncertain on what direction her life will take next on the “Empty” interlude.

Ahead of releasing Missunderstood… Still, Naija shared the music video for the deluxe edition’s first single, “Set Him Up,” featuring Ari Lennox. She also recently received a gold plaque for the album’s early single “Pack Lite.”
