LaTocha, a member of the legendary group Xscape, has returned to her gospel roots with her new song “Full Time Love,” produced by Big MaKK.
The inspirational tune tells the story of a person giving God thanks for always being there for them especially in times where they were masking their pain. It also details how God is always ready and available to soothe woes and fulfill blessings in one’s life.
“And now I sit before you to say, thank you for always being the one I can call on / I know you know but I just wanna say / I’ve been hurt before (yeah)/ Had so much pain and more/ But you never let me go without giving me that full time love,” sings LaTocha.
Regarding the creation of the track, LaTocha shared, “I wrote this song at a time in my life when I was searching for an unfailing love; one without an expiration and I found it in God.”
“Full Time Love” is the first taste of LaTocha’s forthcoming inspirational album, The Invitation, set to be released later this year.
The new song marks Scott’s solo return to music after the release of “Six4” in 2019.
This Saturday (May 8), LaTocha will take part in Xscape’s Verzuz battle with SWV.
Outside of music, Scott recently released the cookbook LaTocha’s Planted Lifestyle, where she shares her collection of delicious plant-based recipes.
