Love and Death’s J.R. Bareis Will Replace Munky for Upcoming Korn Shows

Korn have announced that J.R. Bareis will fill in for guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer, who will sit out the group’s upcoming shows after testing positive for COVID-19. Munky is the second member of the band to contract the virus this tour, after frontman Jonathan Davis.

Bareis also plays in the band Love and Death with Korn’s other guitarist, Brian “Head” Welch.

You can check out fan-filmed footage of Bareis perform in with Korn in Slat Lake City, UT on Thursday, September 9, below.

Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu is also sitting out this round of touring, citing “personal issues that at times have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me.” Filling in for him on this trek is Ra Diaz (Suicidal Tendencies).
