Pop-punk heroes Avril Lavigne and Travis Barker have repeatedly shown their talents over the years. With their recent performance of “Bite Me” live on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the duo are also showing off their synergy.
Together, the two artists teamed up for a forceful performance of the new single, bringing the pop-punk resurgence to center stage.

In the video, Lavigne gives a firey performance backed by Barker’s energetic drumming. The camera’s fisheye lens also gives the performance an overwhelming 2000s feel.
“Bite Me” is the first single Lavigne has released since she signed to Barker’s label DTA Records. Barker, along with John Feldmann and MOD SUN, co-produced Lavigne’s first single since 2019. In a recent statement, Lavigne explains that her collaboration with Barker aligns with her career ambitions.
“We spent a lot of time writing songs and working on this record together, and signing to his record label DTA felt like the perfect home for me and my new music,” Lavigne says. “Travis understands my vision as a musician, my creative process as an artist and my goals at this stage in my career.”
