R&B newcomer Chxrry22 isn’t wasting any time to showcase her voice in a live setting.
Just days after releasing her debut EP, The Other Side, the XO Records/Republic Records signee performed for TIDAL Sessions.
Dressed in a black leather jacket and denim jeans, the Toronto native opened her acoustic set with her focus track “Wasteland.”
She then goes into her debut single “The Falls,” before closing with “Us.”
The nine-minute performance is bound to leave you yearning for a full set from the rising singer.
“The Other Side is about coming to terms with duality – we all have two sides. We can be both the villain and the victim in some story and this is me owning that,” explained Chxrry22.
She wrote on Instagram, “I don’t write about anything I haven’t done or been through so when you hear these songs just know it’s coming from my heart. Right or wrong imma stand on my sh*t.”
Chxrry22 is the first woman to sign to The Weeknd’s XO Records. She joins a roster that includes rap artists Belly and Nav.
