Maxwell Announces Las Vegas Residency 2023 Dates

Maxwell is returning to Las Vegas, Nevada, for a new summer residency, dubbed NIGHT, The Trilogy Show.

The R&B icon will play a three-night residency at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas. The shows take place on Aug. 9, Aug. 11 and Aug. 12.

Presale tickets for NIGHT, The Trilogy Show go on sale Wednesday, April 5, at 10 a.m. local time, commencing the following day at 10 p.m. local time. All general on-sale tickets go live on Friday, April 7, at 10 a.m. local time.

Maxwell started a three-night residency at Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas in July 2022. The trio of shows continued his successful NIGHT Tour, which first launched in March 2022 with Joe and Anthony Hamilton as special guests.

Following his three-night run in Las Vegas, Maxwell returned to the road for a second leg of his NIGHT Tour. He soon expanded the tour, bringing special guests such as Fantasia, Musiq Soulchild, Joe, Leela James and Ash Minor.

Maxwell’s upcoming residency and his previous headlining tours are building anticipation for his blacksummers’NIGHT, the final album of a trilogy started in 2009.

The album was first planned to be released in 2019 on Columbia Records. “Shame,” the then-lead single, reached No. 8 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart, giving Maxwell his 14th top 10 single on the same chart.

Since then, Maxwell has left Columbia Records. He signed a partnership deal with BMG through his imprint Musze.

“I’m looking forward to this next chapter and new partnership with my label Musze/BMG and all that we can accomplish together. The sky is the limit,” Maxwell shared in a statement.

Tim Reid, BMG’s SVP, Repertoire & Marketing, Recorded Music, added, “Maxwell is an iconic creator of culture and we’re pleased to enter into a partnership with he and his company Musze, Inc. We look forward to being an integral part of the expansion of his artistry and brand moving forward.”

Shortly after sharing the partnership news, Maxwell dropped the single “Off.” The steamy song hit No. 1 on R&B radio and the Adult R&B Airplay list, marking his eighth leader. It spent two weeks atop the last chart.
