Dinner Party Releases New Album ‘Enigmatic Society’

Grammy-nominated super group Dinner Party has returned with their new album, Enigmatic Society, the follow-up to their 2020 self-titled album. The four-person collective is composed of Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, 9th Wonder and Kamasi Washington.

The nine-song album includes the previously shared singles “For Granted” and “Insane.” The former track, featuring Ant Clemons, was produced by Martin and Sounwave and was released as the lead-off for Enigmatic Society. It samples Mtume’s 1983 classic “Juicy Fruit.”

Arin Ray teamed with Dinner Party for the second single, “Insane.”

Ray appears on more than just the album’s second offering. He co-stars on “Breathe,” which inspires the listener to pause and unplug from the chaotic world. Meanwhile, he supports the finale, “Love Love,” a brief and sweet reminder to anyone who might feel underappreciated.

When Ray isn’t crooning throughout Enigmatic Society, other male voices are present, such as Tank and Phoelix, who collaborate for “Secure.”

Noted above, Enigmatic Society is Dinner Party’s most recent album. They gained success with their self-titled album that dropped in July 2020. The LP was launched with the single “Freeze Tag,” featuring Phoelix.

Months later, Dinner Party expanded on their debut album with Dinner Party: Dessert. Rap OG Snoop Dogg narrated the release with guest spots from the legendary Herbie Hancock, Bilal, Rapsody, Alex Isley, Tank and the Bangas, Buddy, and more.
