Csalogány has today released her new video and single titled ‘F3160 (Reimagined)’. Csalogány is not particularly interested in making music that sits politely in the corner while everyone pretends to be emotionally stable. With ‘F3160 (Reimagined)’, the Hungarian artist takes an already psychologically charged piece of work and gives it another perspective, proving once again that feelings apparently refuse to stay in their assigned little boxes. The result is atmospheric, introspective and deliberately difficult to pin down, which is exactly what makes it so compelling. This is music built less around explaining an emotion than creating a place where you can actually wander around inside one.
The visual world surrounding ‘F3160 (Reimagined)’ complements that philosophy beautifully. Csalogány’s work has always treated the inner life as something worthy of cinematic scale, and this project understands that emotional experience is rarely tidy enough for a convenient beginning, middle and end. Instead, the music and imagery create a sense of movement between tension and release, restraint and expression, distance and intimacy. “I am Csalogány and my goal is to make people feel.” Hungarian artist Csalogány explores psychology, emotional experience and the inner workings of the mind through music. Her work revolves around a central question: how can our most elusive internal processes be transformed into sound? Rather than simply explaining emotions, her songs aim to create emotional landscapes that allow listeners to experience them.
The project first gained wider attention through Kikeltető, a Hungarian talent programme for emerging underground artists, and has since appeared on both domestic and international stages. One of Csalogány’s defining works, “Peremvidék (F3160)”, has also received international recognition through its accompanying music video, which won first prize at the London Music Video Awards, took second place at the Berlin Music Video Awards in 2026, and was selected for the Odense International Film Festival.
The title refers to F31.60, the ICD code for a mixed state of bipolar disorder, in which symptoms associated with mania and depression can be present at the same time. The song attempts to capture the complexity and contradiction of this state through sound. Directed by Péter Becz, the video reflects on these layers through the story of a female museum attendant who, amid the monotony of her work, encounters a painting of a horse. The moment breaks through her apathy and leads her towards dance as a means of self-expression and identity-building. The film stars dancer and choreographer Bettina Rose Jurák, with cinematography by Marcell Csillag and production by Beyond.
An emotional experience this complex cannot be approached from a single perspective. This idea became the starting point for revisiting the original track: to explore the same state from another angle while remaining faithful to its emotional core. “F3160 (Reimagined)” was born from this approach, not simply as an alternative version, but as a new interpretation of the psychological landscape behind Peremvidék.
