FRIDAY, JULY 10, 2026 – LOS ANGELES, CA –Today, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriterPatrick Martinshares his new single,“Only Good At Being Young,”out now via Glassnote Records. Written and produced entirely by Martin in a home studio in the Wisconsin woods, the track marks the first release from his highly anticipated upcoming project, due out this fall.

Already generating significant momentum on social media, “Only Good At Being Young” has amassedmore than 2.75million viewsusing its official sound pre-release across platforms.

The forthcoming project explores the collision between romantic idealism and the emotional realities of adulthood, weaving together themes of love, nostalgia, fantasy, and acceptance through an expansive alternative-pop sound inspired by artists such as David Bowie and Tame Impala. Its creation was documented through Martin’sviral “100 Days of Making an Album” social media series, offering fans an intimate look at the writing and recording process from his childhood home in Wisconsin.

Speaking about “Only Good At Being Young,” Martin says:

“This is the first song I’ve ever written off the cuff instead of torturing myself over the most clever idiom or alliteration. I really wanted to perform it live but I only had the production and title. So during rehearsals for a show at the Cactus Club in Milwaukee, I just spewed out some random lyrics and melody and it just happened to be honest-ish. I tried beating it after the fact, but nothing ever felt as free or cutting as the original ramblings.”

After years of building speed with soaring alternative-pop anthems and emotionally candid songwriting, Martin returned from Los Angeles to the Wisconsin woods following a life-altering breakup. There, surrounded by the landscape that shaped him, he wrote, recorded, and produced his upcoming projectentirely on his own. Rather than a conventional breakup record, it examines what it means to hold onto hope, romance, and imagination while confronting the complexities of adulthood.

Martin first gained international attention with“Dandelion Eyes,”which charted in theTop 50across Italy, Switzerland, Sweden, and Norway, while also reaching theTop 100in the United States, Canada, Australia, Austria, Denmark, and Belgium. Since then, he has toured in support ofAndy Grammer, been featured inBMI’s Indie Spotlight, and appeared on French artistAdé’shit single “I Wanna Know.”
