Scenius has today released the video for their single, also dropping today, titled ‘Beat The Light’, from the upcoming album ’13 Billion Dark Years’, out this Autumn.
Subtly and suavely bringing in the mental state and mood of the moment, Scenius appears with a quiet anthem of apathy and grace with visuals set for the mood in the abstract and feeling for the soul in the momentum.
The visuals embrace the lyrics while the music sets the tone. Scenius has always had a penchant for slightly obscure, emotionally cheeky delivery in their music, in the guise of electronic pop, but there is poetry involved in the details.
And, while some may find this a bit subdued, it is also deep.

About ‘Beat The Light’
Wrapped in lush vocal harmonies, the chorus lands like a soft mantra that lingers long after it fades. The lyrics explore the idea of surrendering to forces that are beyond control, where powerlessness can feel unsettling… but strangely comforting too. Beat The Light is the second single out of a series of 4 leading to the release of a new album.
