The rapper Kevin Gates and his former wife, Dreka, have been separated for quite some time. But it appears that the two will be linked again, this time due to a court ruling that dictates that he send a chunk of his music proceeds to Dreka, to the tune of one million dollars.
According to reports, $929,341.50 will go to Dreka for child support and spousal support, and that will be distributed from a Morgan Stanley account which will be handled by record label Bread Winner Alumni CFO Robert Bracy containing all of the proceeds from the sale. Bread Winner is one of Gates’ companies. William Duerksen, a public accountant, has authorization over the account.
Dreka is also slated to receive $150,000 in a direct payment. Her attorneys will get $125,000, and her accountant will receive $100,000. Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, a third-party mediation service invovled in the proceedings, earns $103,000 according to TMZ.
Kevin Gates’ share of the proceeds isn’t minimal – he’ll get $538,798 outright, and $225,000 a month. The payments are set to be doled out immediately after the court ruling, which took place on Wednesday (October 21).
The financial ruling comes a little over a year after Dreka filed for divorce from Kevin Gates on July 30, 2025, following a period of public discord between the couple who had been together for over a decade. At the time, according to PEOPLE, Dreka Gates also requested physical custody of their two children, Islah, 12, andKhaza, 11.
Kevin Gates had accused his ex-wife of stealing money from him while they were married on social media, leading her attorney to call the allegation “completely false and fabricated.” Dreka Gates had accused the “I Don’t Get TIred” artist of not supporting her or their children financially since 2021, and had also requested $27,193 per month in child support and $46,274 in monthly spousal support at the time.
The divorce filing also came two months after Kevin Gates and influencer Brittany Renner ended their “spiritual marriage”. Renner spoke about it while being interviewed in Los Angeles in June. “We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,” she said, adding that she didn’t regret converting to Islam or the marriage.
