A brand new EP comprised of three new songs is coming from sludge metal badassesBlack Tusk. Though we only know that Systems of Solitude will be released “over the next couple of months”, we already have its first single “Crushed By The Weight” available today.
As you can hear in the clip below, the new single from Black Tusk is a barnburner. It’s got consistent energy from beginning to end, driving throughout its entire three minute duration. With the track’s release, the band said the following about “Crushed By The Weight”.
“Those in power lie, cheat and steal. Who are we supposed to trust? When everything collapses and the lies are revealed, we are all crushed by the weigh of all that remains.”
Starting next weekend, Black Tusk will begin its spring tour plans, with this Saturday being the band’s appearance at Baltimore’s Grim Reefer Fest. The band also plans to head over the Europe this summer as the supporting act for the returning Soilent Green.
