Bring Me The Horizon to Release Re-Recorded ‘Count Your Blessings’ for Its 20th Anniversary

Twenty years tends to be a popular milestone for bands to commemorate particularly important releases and it’s looking like Bring Me The Horizon are no strangers to the concept. That’s because as it turns out, the British alternative metalcore outfit is going to be releasing a re-recorded version of their album Count Your Blessings to mark its 20th anniversary this July.

Set for release on July 10, Count Your Blessings | Repented has been touted by the band as a “reactivation” and “recontextualization” of the band’s 2006 album. Both Oli Sykes and guitarist Lee Malla worked with mixer Buster Odeholm on the re-recorded album, resulting in what the band calls a “reborn, sharper, heavier, and more vital” version of the record than ever before.

To further mark the album’s 20th anniversary, Bring Me The Horizon will perform the entirety of Count Your Blessings during their set on July 10 as part of Outbreak Festival in Manchester, U.K. The ‘Outbreak Presents: Count Your Blessings | Repented’ event, co-curated by the band and Outbreak Festival, will include Static Dress, Rolo Tomassi, Dying Wish, Heriot, Car Underwater, and Still In Love.

Just as the re-recorded version of the album, the live performance will “reactivate” it for old and new fans alike.

Tickets for the special BMTH ‘Outbreak Presents: Count Your Blessings | Repented’ event will go on sale this Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. GMT. Fans that preorder the album will gain access to a pre-sale for those tickets starting today. So you know what that means… Preorder your copy.
