The Crown Unveil New Song, “Driven to Disaster”

The Crown have unveiled another new song, although it’s not from their recently-announced album, Royal Destroyer, but a standalone release for the Decibel Magazine Flexi Series.

“Driven to Disaster” is a thrashy melodeath number in keeping with the band’s penchant for catchy as fuck, anthemic rippers. You can stream it below or get your hands on a physical version in the latest issue of Decibel.

Motordeath,” the first single from Royal Destroyer, came out earlier this month. Bassist Magnus Olsfelt offered of the new record:

“It is our album number ten, so now we are in the big boys club. I think it in some ways is our crowning achievement, and it encompasses our sound across all albums on one defining record. It’s got it all – the early ’90s death metal stuff, the haunting melodies, the thrash, the punk, the grind, the heavy metal and the more epic and doomy stuff.”

Royal Destroyer arrives March 12 via Metal Blade and can be pre-ordered here.
