The weekend before summer 2027 is getting quite bulky, so Warner Bros is shifting the release date of its special forces commando pic F.A.S.T. to mid-May next year, specifically May 14, a frame where it launched Final Destination: Bloodlines and more recently Mortal Kombat II.
The film, which reps the feature directorial debut of TV episodic director Ben Richardson (1883, 1923), follows a former special forces commando tapped by the DEA to lead a black-ops strike team against CIA-protected drug dealers.
Brandon Sklenar, Sam Claflin, Juliana Canfield, Trevante Rhodes, LaKeith Stanfield and Jason Clarkestar in a movie that’s written by Taylor Sheridan. Producers are David Heymanand Jeffrey CliffordofHeyday Films and Sheridanand Jenny Wood ofBosque Ranch Productions.
F.A.S.T. moves away from Amazon MGM Studios’ Spaceballs: The New One and Neon’s Chloe Dumont thriller A Place in Hell and to a weekend where it’s currently the only major studio wide entry.
It had previously been slated for April 23, 2027.
