Radiohead Announce Kid A Mnesia Touring Installation

One of the biggest mysteries of this year’s Coachella lineup has finally been solved. “The Bunker Debut of Radiohead’s Kid A Mnesia” is not a performance as some hopeful fans were predicting, but a new 75-minute audiovisual installation called Motion Picture House, featuring artwork by singer Thom Yorke and longtime collaborator Stanley Donwood, along with music from the band’s combined 2021 reissue of Kid A and Amnesiac. You can check out a full trailer of the project below.

The installation first launched in 2021 as a virtual-only exhibit directed by Sean Evans; the band had initially conceived of the project as a physical installation, until COVID restrictions scuttled that idea. In a statement, Yorke describes the current iteration as “a Monster is trapped in a derelict museum of the lost & forgotten.

At Coachella, Radiohead will debut Motion Picture House in a literal 17,000 square-foot underground bunker. Following its premiere, they will take the show on a short North American run through Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City, and San Francisco. The full dates are listed below.

In 2025, Radiohead wrapped up a run of European dates. In a recent interview about his May solo album Blue Morpho, guitarist Ed O’Brien said a Thom Yorke LP is set to drop later this year.
