Tinashe has taken a break from smashing up cars in Silver Lake to officially announce her new album. Popstar includes last month’s “Too Easy,” as well as a new single, the crunk-inflected “Crash Out.” “The American dream is outdated,” Tinashe sing-raps on the track, “now they sitting on the internet hating.” Popstar is out September 25 via Atlantic. Tinashe shared her last full-length LP, 333, in 2021. She’s since followed it up with two shorter projects, 2023’s BB/Ang3l and 2024’s Quantum Baby, which featured the single “Nasty.”
