Serial ‘90s rock legend collaborator Olivia Rodrigo added another notch to her belt at Lollapalooza over the weekend. On Friday (July 31) at the Chicago music festival, she made an appearance during the Smashing Pumpkins’ headlining set to sing “Thirty-Three,” off the band’s 1995 album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Watch her take on the track below.
Rodrigo wasn’t the only special guest to pop up during the performance. Hole’s Melissa Auf der Maur, who was briefly in the Pumpkins, joined the group on Machina/The Machines of God’s “The Everlasting Gaze.” At the beginning of the show, Yungblud also came out to sing “Luna” with Billy Corgan.
Later this year, Rodrigo will perform at the inaugural edition of her new all-female music festival Daisy Chain Fields. Set to take place in Irvine, California’s Great Park on August 29, the wider lineup features Bikini Kill, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Stevie Nicks, and Mitski. In early 2027, Rodrigo is also set to hit the road on her Unraveled Tour, where she’ll perform tracks from her most recent album You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.
