Urban One’s Reach Media and Radio One have officially announced the launch of “The Garden of Love,” a brand-new syndicated nighttime radio show hosted by Grammy-nominated R&B heavyweight Raheem DeVaughn. Premiering on Monday, October 12, the program will air Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 PM to midnight.
Designed as a nightly sanctuary for the community to unwind, “The Garden of Love” seamlessly pairs soulful music with grounded conversations about love, life, and relationships. Each broadcast will feature a curated mix of romantic R&B and classic slow jams, while DeVaughn opens the phone lines for audience dedications, real talk, and interactive discussions.
“Grateful to everyone who has supported my radio journey!” DeVaughn shared regarding the launch. “This new chapter with Urban One is about building a new nighttime syndicated tradition and truly something special for the listeners. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started!”
The transition to nighttime radio is a natural progression for DeVaughn, widely known as “The Love King of R&B & Soul.” A platinum-selling songwriter and independent powerhouse, he recently earned his second No. 1 on the Billboard R&B charts with a reimagined version of his classic hit, “You.” Earlier in 2026, he released his tenth studio album, The Quiet Storm Lover (Tome Un), via a partnership with EVEN.biz.
Beyond his musical catalog, DeVaughn is a dedicated community advocate. As the founder of the LoveLife Foundation, he actively works to improve the health and well-being of underserved communities of color. His philanthropic efforts earned him the Key to the City of Washington, D.C., and the 2023 Presidential Volunteer Award, paving the way for a prestigious performance at the 2024 White House Juneteenth celebration alongside Patti LaBelle and Charlie Wilson.
“The Garden of Love” will anchor its broadcast on Majic 102.3 WMMJ in Washington, D.C., with syndication across additional major markets including WAMJ Atlanta, WPPZ Philadelphia, WWIN Baltimore, and WKJS Richmond.
