Jay-Z has brought his anniversary shows to Paris, and surprised fans by bringing out Justin Timberlake and Pharrell Williams. Check out footage and the setlist below.
At his ongoing run of shows, the rapper is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his huge album ‘The Blueprint’, as well as the 30th anniversary of his debut album ‘Reasonable Doubt’.
Jay-Z’s shows kicked off with three nights at Yankee Stadium in New York City that featured Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Usher, Eminem, Nas, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Slick Rick, Fat Joe, Jadakiss, Teyana Taylor and many more as surprise guests.
He then headed across the pond for two nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium, where he brought out Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Giggs, as well as DJ Khaled and Idris Elba.

Now, he has played his massive show at Stade de France in Saint-Denis, and continued his trend of bringing out some huge names as surprise collaborators on the night.
After kicking things off with ‘On to the Next One’, ‘Tom Ford’, ‘Big Pimpin’, ‘Jigga My N****’, and ‘Izzo (H.O.V.A.)’, Jay-Z brought out Pharrell Williams for four songs, starting with ‘Excuse Me Miss’, before launching into ‘La-La-La (Excuse Me Miss Again)’, ‘Frontin’’, and ‘Allure.’
Then, after playing ‘Dirt Off Your Shoulder’, ‘I Know’, ‘Never Change’, and ‘Song Cry’ solo, Jay-Z then introduced Justin Timberlake to the stage as his second guest of the night, and together they collaborated on ‘Holy Grail’ – the opening track from 2013’s ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ – and Timberlake’s ‘Until the End of Time’, which he collaborated with Beyonce for.
The two hit the road together back in 2013 for a ‘Legends Of The Summer’ stadium tour, but have rarely appeared on stage together since then, other than a surprise appearance of Jay-Z at Timberlake’s 2013 Wireless slot.
The tour wrapped up with ‘N***** in Paris’, ‘Public Service Announcement’, ‘Empire State of Mind’ and ‘Numb / Encore’, and other big songs in the setlist included ‘99 Problems’, ‘Run This Town’ and ‘Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)’.

For a while now, there has been speculation that he is working on the follow-up to his last album – 2017’s ‘4:44’ – however, friend and collaborator Cash Cobain has dismissed rumours and said that the rapper told him recently that he is “absolutely not dropping an album” anytime soon (via Variety).
Jay-Z recently dropped a new song with Eminem and Rakim, though – their first partnership in 25 years – and also delivered his first original rap verse in four years on a new remix of Beyoncé’s ‘Morning Dew (Donk)’.
A new docuseries about Jay-Z has been confirmed for a MUBI release, too, and it will see the rapper digging back into his catalogue while in conversation with Rick Rubin about his life, career, and music.
