BET Awards 2023 Nominees Revealed: Beyoncé, SZA, Chris Brown and More

The 2023 BET Awards nominees have been announced. Beyoncé, SZA and Chris Brown lead among R&B acts with four nominations each. (Rapper Drake is the most-nominated this year with seven nods.)

The ceremony will air live Sunday, June 25, at 8 p.m. from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.

Brown, Beyoncé and SZA are nominated for Album of the Year for their respective 2022 releases, Breezy, Renaissance and SOS

Brown’s hit single “Call Me Every Day,” which features Wizkid and has sold gold, has been nominated for Best Collaboration.

Beyonce’s platinum-selling “Break My Soul” has also been nominated in two categories: BET Her Award and Viewer’s Choice Award.

SZA has been nominated for awards including the Viewer’s Choice Award and Video of the Year for her song “Kill Bill.” This track was her first to reach No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and also achieved the top spot on urban radio.

This year, Coco Jones has received three nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, marking her first-ever nominations. Jones’ recognition comes behind the breakthrough success of her current single “ICU,” produced by Camper. 

The up-and-coming R&B group FLO has received their first nominations, totaling three, which include Best Group and Best New Artist.
