Someone needs to keep The Pretty Reckless vocalist Taylor Momsen safe while touring with legendary rock outfit AC/DC. The animal world is apparently out to get her, as she was forced to receive an antivenom in Mexico City after shew as bitten by a spider.
There’s no indication that the spider was radioactive in any way, so we likely won’t see her swinging from a web anytime soon, but it’s not the first time she’s been wounded by wildlife while on the road with AC/DC. In fact, she was bitten by a bat mid-performance in Sevile while touring with AC/DC back in 2024. In that instance, she received a number of shots as a preventative measure against rabies.
Momsen posted a reel of herself getting the antivenom injection on Instagram. In it, you can see how swollen the lower part of her right leg got as a result of the spider bite.
“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit…this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system so had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night…add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl? WTF”
We don’t know what kind of spider bit her or how dangerous it really was, but it’s a good thing she got it treated. Don’t forget — a spider bite sidelined the late Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, though he ultimately died in 2013 of alcohol-related cirrhosis of the liver.
Regardless, maybe Momsen should continue her AC/DC touring days living in a bubble. Or maybe sequestering herself to a cliffside cave like her childhood acting co-star The Grinch.
