Frankie Valli, 92, Disputes Retirement Announcement

Frankie Valli has disputed an announcement from his brother that he is retiring from live performances, writing in a statement posted to Instagram, “In spite of what you might have heard, I am not retired.”

Victoria Varela, a representative for the 92-year-old singer, similarly told Variety that Valli “is not retired. This is false.”

The denials followed a statement from Frankie’s brother, Bobby Valli, who claimed the singer was retiring from performing. “He will now retire. We will always have special memories of Frankie Valli. He has reached a place in his life where his family is there to love, cherish and to be there for him… We appreciate your love and concern,” he said.

In May, Valli canceled the remainder of his 2026 dates in order “to focus on my health.” At the time, Varela told Variety that her client hoped to return to performing in 2027.

Over the last couple of years, viral concert videos have sparked concern about Valli’s well-being. More recently, Page Six published photos of the New Jersey appearing frail as he was helped out of a car in Los Angeles.
