Only days after announcing a Summer 2026 US tour, The Psychedelic Furs have canceled the outing, along with an upcoming spring jaunt, as the result of a “serious medical issue in the band.”
A statement on the band’s instagram page reads, “Due to a serious medical issue in the band, the tour dates scheduled for spring and summer are being cancelled. Please accept our deepest apologies for the inconvenience. Refunds are available at point of purchase. More soon.”
A couple days ago, the Psychedelic Furs announced a summer US tour with support from Living Colour that was set to run from early August through early September. Before that, the new wave band was slated to tour North America from mid May through late July, with We Are Scientists as support on a good number of those dates. The only show that remains on the Psychedelic Furs’ schedule as of now is a November 14th gig at the Darker Waves festival in California.
