Queens of the Stone Age Reveal New Album Title in Bloody Teaser Video: Watch

Queens of the Stone Age revealed the title and possible release date of their upcoming album in a bloody teaser video starring frontman Josh Homme and guitarist-keyboardist Dean Fertita. The LP is titled Perfecth, but the September 30th date mentioned in the clip is suspect.

The 90-second clip features the two QOTSA members playing a game of five-finger fillet. Fertita is an expert, but it all goes horribly wrong for Homme, who plunges the knife right into his own hand.

Before it gets gory, Fertita asks when the record is coming out, to which Homme responds, “September 30th, I think.” Then it all turns into a bloody mess, with a voice-over telling us at the end: “Queens of the Stone Age, the new album, Perfecth, coming September 30th.”

However, at the very, very end of the clip, September 30th is crossed out. New albums, for the most part, are released on Fridays, and September 30th is a Wednesday, which means there’s a good chance it may arrive on another date.

The announcement of the album title and potential release date follow the unveiling of the first single, “Easy Street,” which was accompanied by a wild music video that also features a bloody scene.

Queens of the Stone Age are currently supporting Foo Fighters on a North American stadium tour, with tickets available here.
