The second new release from Estani, ‘Déjame En Paz’ centres on love, heartbreak, and the strength to walk away.
Featuring Los Texmaniacs, ‘Déjame En Paz’ comes with a music video shot in black and white, which is presented in such a way as to use wardrobe to complement the song’s older origins. Estani had the footage in her archives for some time before she decided to use it for this release.
Following the release of this and ‘Tu De Mi Te Acordarás’, Estani is completing the documentary of the same name, in which she will honour her grandmother as she examines the evolution of Conjunto music, and those women whose efforts and contributions were so often overlooked. Crafted from nearly 30 interviews conducted with musicians, historians, broadcasters and cultural advocates, ‘Tu De Mi Te Acordarás’ is set for festival, educational and community screenings.
