Megan Thee Stallion teams up with P!nk for ‘Lady Marmalade’ parody at 2026 Tony Awards

Megan Thee Stallion joined 2026 Tony Awards host P!nk and a host of Broadway stars for a leading lady-themed parody of ‘Lady Marmalade’.

The ‘Savage’ rapper took the New York stage next to P!nk, and reworked Lil’ Kim’s rap from the 2001 supergroup single – which she dropped over two decades ago alongside Mya and Christina Aguilera for Moulin Rouge!.

At Radio City Music Hall on Sunday night (June 7), the parody of the song saw P!nk nod to several of Broadway’s biggest hits during the song’s “gitchie, gitchie” chorus.

Lea Michele, who wasn’t nominated for an award this year, also stopped by to hit Aguilera’s big vocal note from the original track, quipping: “We don’t do it for the awards’. Other big names making up the ensemble included familiar faces like Broadway’s Dylan Mulvaney, Shoshana Bean, Neil Patrick Harris, and more.

The performance saw Megan Thee Stallion become the first female rapper to perform on the Tony Awards, which comes after she was forced to prematurely end her time in the cast of Moulin Rouge following a brief stint in hospital and a split from her partner.

The rapper had been portraying Zidler in the production, and was expected to do so for an eight-week run. However, the rapper was taken to hospitalafter falling “very ill” during a performance of the musicalin New York andlater revealed to fans that the illness was brought on by exhaustionand by over-extending herself.

The rapper’s latest album was‘Megan: Act II’, which arrived in 2024 and earned a five-star review fromNME. Since then, she has shared two singles in 2025,‘Whenever’and‘Lover Girl’, and alsorevealed that she was underway with “completing act three”of her albums, which is expected to drop later this year.
