The Yellowjackets teaser trailer is designed like 1990s TV and features Alanis Morissette‘s “Ironic.” Sophie Nélisse‘s Shauna’s face is bloodied and beaten in the wilderness, hinting at some kind of retribution after she tried to force everyone to stay in the wilderness for good in the Season 3 finale.
At the end of the trailer, she’s hysterically laughing and crying from the pit that killed Mari (Alexa Barajas) and says that they’re “going to be so totally f**ked” as rescue looms. Lottie (Courtney Eaton) is in the pit with her as Natalie (Sophie Thatcher) looks down on them from the edge.

Mari’s dead body flashes in another frame, followed by a shot of a sobbing parent in a hospital hallway while Natalie, Taissa (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Misty (Samantha Hanratty), and Shauna look on in fear. Back in New Jersey, they’re being called “American heroes.” Van (Liv Hewson) is haunted by their 19 months stranded in the wild: “Everything we saw, everything we did, we weren’t supposed to leave,” she says.
Premiering November 20 on the Paramount+ Premium plan, Yellowjackets is the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness.
Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story and coming-of-age drama, the series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.
