Big Sean and Kanye West reunited after years of feuding during West’s Chicago concert. Find all the details below.
Big Sean made a surprise appearance during West‘s homecoming concert at Soldier Field in Chicago last night (September 4) to perform his hit ‘I Don’t Fuck With You’.
The moment came after years of public tension between the two. They were once close, with West discovering Sean back in 2007 and signing him to his record label, G.O.O.D Music, but the two publicly fell out in 2021,when Sean claimed West owed him $6million.
That same year, West said signing Sean to his record label G.O.O.D. Music, through which his music was released from 2007 through 2021, was the “worst thing I’ve ever done”.
Sean and West celebrated their reunion with performances of their collaborations ‘Clique’ and ‘Mercy’, the latter which 2 Chainz also made an appearance for.
“Chi-Town, I love you forever,” Sean said on stage. “Ye, I love you, bro, and I appreciate you.” West replied, “Love you, fam.” Watch below.
The shows come as part of West’s ongoing, controversial comeback tour, which kicked off at SoFi Stadium in California, and has since seen himplay in the Netherlandsand Turkey. At the latter, Yeclaimed that he drew 118,000 people to his Instanbul show and broke the record for the largest stadium performance.
Many of the dates have already been cancelled due to the rapper’s history ofanti-Semitic commentsanduse of Nazi imagery– including London’s three-nightWireless Festival, which axed its 2026 eventafter the UK government blocked Ye from entering the country.Ye’s planned shows inPolandandSwitzerlandwere also cancelled,a French date was postponed, andan Italian show was pulled over safety concernstoo.
In the States, Florida Senator Rick Scott unsuccessfullyurged the Tampa Sports Authority to cancel Ye’s two June shows, andthe mayor of San Antonio also failed to get his show at the city’s Alamodome on July 4 scrapped.
More recently, a stadium in Russia has said that the two planned West gigs “cannot take place”.
Thetwo shows in St Petersburg were announced last month, and tickets sold out within hours. They are set to take place at the Gazprom Arena on October 10 and 11, and will make West one of the first major artists to perform in Russia following the country’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
